data web service (DWS) retirement

The old-fashioned data web service is going to retire in August 2025. It is replaced by the data streams of https://ingest.o2a-data.de/. The O2A data streams contain exactly the same functionality as the old data web service, plus some new features and with a fresh and new user interface. Under the hood a new and dedicated to time series PostgreSQL extension called TimescaleDB ensures high performance and low latency.

Please note that https://ingest.o2a-data.de/streams is not yet productive, but in testing mode. The latest data is from mid 2024 until migration of the old dws database will take place August 2025.

As the predecessor the data streams are equipped with a powerful API. The swagger documentation is available under https://ingest.o2a-data.de/api/. In addition data streams also support SensorThings API also known as STA (an OGC standard) as one of the outcomes of HMC STAMPLATE project. The corresponding endpoint can be found at https://ingest.o2a-data.de/sta/.
