There are multiple portals, e.g. Marine Data Portal and Earth Data Portal.Different portals have a similar structure but differ in content. Two prominent features of these portals are the DATA and the VIEWERS sections.

The DATA section offers a data search to find e.g. publications, datasets, reports from a set of repositories. Which repositories are covered differs from portal to portal and depends on the user community.

The VIEWERS section offers a list of curated map viewers to explore specific topics using an interactive map. The selection of viewers differs from portal to portal.

The content of DATA and VIEWERS section is not connected.
